New This Summer at Joy El

“I can’t wait for the new Splashground!”

Summers at Joy El get HOT! So, of course, water activities are an important way to cool our campers down and offer a lot of fun as well. Because the number of our campers continue to grow, and the size of our pool doesn’t, we’ve embarked on adding a new, fun water activity that kids will enjoy.

Currently under construction for this summer is our new Splashground. Since it isn’t built yet, here’s an animated depiction of what the splashground will look like once it’s completed. Just click on the photo.

“Whoa! Joy El’s gonna have a zipline this year?!”

Yes! Not only can you get wet, but you can also take flight at Joy El this summer! In addition to our Flying Squirrel and Giant Swing high ropes elements, we are adding a new zipline for a tree top tour of the camp!

This photo shows you what a zipline looks like. Of course, it’s not the actual one since that too is in construction. But it will definitely be this cool!

“I’m looking forward to the nighttime cabin comfort!”

Like we said, summers at Joy El are hot, and that means nights in the cabin can get uncomfortable for sleeping…BUT NOT ANY MORE! This spring we are installing air conditioning in all of our cabins. Summer campers will rest comfortably at night and wake up refreshed and ready for a new day of fun, adventure, and connecting with God.

So now that you’ve seen some exciting new changes coming to Joy El, are you ready to register for summer camp or for a group retreat? Summer campers can register here. Group leaders can contact Rena, our Group Events Coordinator, at 717-369-4539.
