Since 1974, our sole focus has been to provide opportunities for people to experience life-change through personal encounters with God. We have done this primarily by facilitating weekend church retreats, youth camps, father-son retreats, mother-daughter retreats, father-daughter retreats, Home School retreats, summer youth camps, summer only day camps, winter weekend retreats, winter youth retreats and much more! Our beautiful panoramic property, near Greencastle, PA., is surrounded by the lush green hills of the Cumberland Valley and provides that feeling of being a million miles away, without the use of airports! Joy El can comfortably accommodate approximately 300 over-night guests and offers several brand new and newly updated meeting rooms for groups of all sizes, including a full-size, indoor air-conditioned and heated gymnasium. In addition to our modern all season bunk-style cabins, we also have the “Disciples Lodge,” offering motel-style rooms connected by a beautiful indoor atrium, giving you room-to-room access free from the elements of the outdoors. Can you say crazy fun? From high elevation action like our “Flying Squirrel” and “Big Swing” to the ground level curvy speed of our “Go Cart Track”, Joy El Camps and Retreats is all about packing as much fun into your camp experience as you can stomach. Rest assured, you will always find something crazy to do to curb the appetite of your wild side at Joy El Camp and Retreats.
With God’s miraculous power, Joy El will make disciples of Jesus Christ, who will expand God’s Kingdom around the world through spiritual multiplication.
Joy El seeks to provide opportunities for people to experience life-change through personal encounters with God.
Our motto is “Igniting a generation that seeks Him.” This motto is based on: Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Psalm 24:6 This reflects our desire to transform the next generation into one that seeks the Lord. Verses 3 and 4 describe such a generation: Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive the blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior. Psalm 24: 3, 4 As we provide opportunities to encounter God, as we evangelize, as we encourage and as we equip individuals for active ministry, we recognize that God will use people in this process. We want the next generation to be known as a Generation that seeks him.
